Since 1994, the Peace Corps Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program at Illinois State University has enhanced the skills of returned Peace Corps Volunteers who become the new generation of development specialists. Alumni of the Peace Corps Fellows Program take their experience into careers with a wide variety of organizations - the State Department and USAID, international and domestic NGO's, and for-profit businesses. They serve in a range of leadership positions.
The ACED Fellows Program at Illinois State University enables those who are passionate about social change through service to take their careers to the next level. Alumni of the ACED Fellows Program continue their commitment to service, working with philanthropic organizations, in international and domestic development, and in the private sector. The Stevenson Center ACED Fellows Program provides an AmeriCorps Education Award premium match.
The program is open to students in any major and encourages you to maximize your time at Illinois State by engaging with your community and thinking globally. Peace Corps Prep students can interact with returned Peace Corps Volunteers and those currently serving through the Stevenson Center graduate programs around the world.
